I need to confirm but I believe this might be the Toyota part.
https://www.amazon.sg/TOYOTA-27415-0T011-Toyota-Alternator-Pulley/dp/B00KTGIBHE

I kind of wish I got this instead, it’s made by Asin which is one of the best manufactures.

Yes it should be Aisin not Asin. It might just be a misprint.

The part number is correct and has been superseded.
this is now the current part number 274150T060.

I believe it’s confirmed based on this cross reference.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/ACDELCO-37015P-ALTERNATOR-DECOUPLER-PULLEY-FOR-CELICA-COROLLA-MATRIX-CARAVAN-XD/303507592505?fits=Make%3AToyota&epid=75738729&hash=item46aa765539:g:uXQAAOSwzVhbUsws

Toyota 274150T060 is the correct part number. It links the Dayco 892003 with this part number and others. It’s a common part that also works in Chrysler products as well.
From some other references it lists Japan as the origin of manufacture for the Toyota part.

Parts.norwalktoyota.com has this part listed for $67.93

I couldn’t figure out how to link it using my iphone. You might want to verify it’s the correct part. I can’t even see all the text on my phone for some reason.

Am I missing something?
edit edit edit... Devs link sent me to some foreign land site. I didn’t pay that much intention until I went to save it on my wish list. Then I noticed it was S$67 or some such. The point being it was “S$”. So I simply searched for the part, Amazon US came up and I copied and pasted with the snarky comment above. But then WTF it was a Kindle picture. Tried to correct 2x. In the end: Amazon search below and its $40 in US

Toyota 27415-0T011

It appears that Toyota 274150T060 supersedes Toyota 27415-0T011 .

Here is a list of all the interchangeable part numbers from the various brands.

04861506AD, 04861506AE, 04861506AG, 04868430AC,, 1042115480, 274150T010, 13870, 920834 920834A, 274150T011, 274150T060, 37015P, 4861506AB,, 4861506AC, 4861506AD, 4861506AE, 4861506AH, 892003, 4861506AF, 4861506AG

Just keep in mind that Toyota doesn't list this part for our car or for a similar 1ZZ engine application but it is what is cross referenced with the Dayco 892003 and AC Delco 37015P and the Gates 3715P which does.

Will the Toyota part work?  Very likely based on the information. I would be reserved if you just want a part and are willing to take a risk to get the Toyota OEM otherwise the Dayco 892003 is the best bet because we know it works.

The reason why Im interested is primarily because Toyota parts are quality. Im sure the Dayco will be fine and from what I have read they are made in the US and not China so hopefully its built to a high standard.

Here is a question. What if the 1ZZ needs a larger belt. Since the pulley is 55mm.

The reason why I bring this up is for the fact that I found a retrofit kit from gates that also includes the belt tensioner and belt.

Asin vs Aisin: name bullshittery happens in asian countries. just... be cautious.

RC cars from China that are trying to hijack he Hoonigan image spell it "Hootniga" but with a similar placement and sometimes font.

Trusting Amazon for genuine Aisin and Denso parts is like trusting a Halorule64 not to be late. Most times you're gonna get burned.

That retrofit kit is really interesting. I did not read the PDF thou.... Was it stated to be a longer belt? It's listed to be comparable with 03+ vehicles, and previously in this thread we have a very small amount of evidence to suggest 00-02 has 52.5mm pulley, and 03+ has a 55mm. If this is the case no pulley diameters have changed by using the kit, just the tensioner style.

The tensioner style is definitely different from ours. Maybe it provides a lower amount of tension than the original?

I would definitely recommend 1zz folk to measure their stock pulley first, and if one is shifting from 52.5 to 55 a slightly larger belt may be necessary. May need to be judged on a case-by-case basis. If the original belt slips on easily enough I'd just let it be. If it's a real bear to get on maybe go up a size or two.

Regarding Asin vs Aisin... I don't trust half the listing with the "correct" manufacturer name. Any misspelling is considered an obvious fake trying to ride on a brand name they don't have.

I don’t know the size of the belt however when I think about it there is a more logical way to find out and that is if the early Spyder with the smaller pulley shares the same size belt with the latter that use the 55mm pulley. If so then it’s possible there is enough travel on the tensioner. The only thing different on the kit is probably the revised tensioner that might not be as strong to take advantage of reducing some parasitic losses but that’s just a guess.

It looks like my pulley was sent out Fedex which is extremely slow. I won't get it until Tuesday of next week.

The odd thing about going though the various application stuff is that the Dayco part has both for the 1ZZ and 2ZZ applications but the others only list 1ZZ. Another interesting tidbit is none of them list the Spyder which is fine as they usually never get these backwards compatibility listing  stuff right. You kind of have to figure it out on your own.

I let the UK guys know what we are doing so when the time comes they can also participate.

Did some investigating.  It would appear that the retrofit kit was to address this TSB for 1ZZ engine although the TSB is also for both 1ZZ and 2ZZ.

toyota tsb eg021-07

It would seem it was a tensioner change and the belt remained the same.  I think the Gates kit also includes the OAD pulley to further resolve the issue for the 1ZZ.  It is most probably that the gates tensioner is similar to the Toyota revised part and not a lower tension design. It must be emphasized that the 1ZZ and 2ZZ use different tensioners so this kit will not work on a 2ZZ application.

My Matrix 03 engine probably has the old tensioner without any issues. It was pulled out in 2006 before the TSB went into effect.
