I received a freshly roasted batch of Jamaican blue ridge mountain coffee a few days ago from an EBay roaster. It has taken awhile for me to dial in my espresso machine just right and now its singing.

Its very hard to get this coffee here in the US because there are a lot of cheats that mix other coffee beans in and  with the authentic stuff  and you don't know when it has been roasted.  Also the authentic beans are crazy expensive because the Japanese are known to buy most of the production.  I have tried different vendors on Amazon and they all suck.

I was able to get this coffee for $25 a pound which is unbelievable and its the real deal because I had a friend some time ago send me the real stuff directly from Jamaica.    If you never had the real deal Jamaican Blue coffee you are missing out on one of life best kept secrets.

Congrats on the Vette.  All its missing is a turbo.   How much do you think its putting down.

The cam specs are unknown, it's running pretty rich and it has a few cosmetic issues.  I'm guessing somewhere in the mid 500s at the wheel.  It's a magnuson blower and only pushing 6 lbs.  I'm going to concentrate on the cosmetic stuff, pull the nitrous and figure out a different wheel setup.  Right now it has some 3 piece HRE wheels on it, but they don't suit the car at all.  Going to get it on a dyno and the tuned freshened up next month.

Anyone watch the Indy 500 this past Sunday? It had its moments of both excitement and boredom. One visual I will remember for a while is Davison's front right brake turning orange/red, overheating, exploding and his tire catching on fire has the car is going down the track. I thought I was watching a new Nicolas Cage Ghost Rider commercial !!

Please share the vendor info! Even if in PM 😛

I take it that you had a taste before. If you have you know exactly how good this coffee is if you can find the real deal. I only hope they don’t run out. Make sure you order the dark roast. The medium roast just doesn’t have that kick.

Thanks for sharing dev. I haven't had the real thing since I have been on the island.

Blown, it is like lift, only bigger, better, longer, stronger, harder... and that’s just the car. The first Rotrex supercharged 2zz Spyder.

Its not as good as the stuff that I had been sent  from friends of mine (previous Spyder owner) but from what I know there are different grades based on the size of the bean and the elevation.  It also depends on the roaster, season and each batch can be different but on the whole this is coffee has it where it counts especially for the price.

Its one of those coffees that makes you step back and notice that its a great cup.  Its not one of those mocha hazelnut feminine  coffees the hipsters drink, this has the right bitterness that makes it coffee to its core. Sure you can cut it with sugar but to really enjoy good coffee is to do without and acquire a taste for it and you will never use sweeteners  again.

The only time I have had anything put in my coffee was in New Orleans at Cafe Du Monde, cafe au lait and beignets.

Unfortunately I have to have my espresso cut with steamed milk.  I would eventually like to start enjoying espresso like the Italians who drink it neat but every time I do its not easy.  I have started drinking flat whites which is half espresso and half milk and eventually I will get it down to a macchiato which is just a dollop of milk.   Starbucks is not coffee, its coffee flavored milk and a corporate model that is fake as the Outback Steakhouse or TGIF.

Too right dev. I started out drinking coffee strong and black before I was finishing grade school  as that was how my parents drank it. I have always gone for stronger, darker coffees. I wholeheartedly agree, Starbucks is not coffee. The older I get the more I crave stronger flavors in food, drink, and alcohol. Stouts, bourbon, rum, vodka neat, with water back, extra garlic, pepper, and spices. My wife once asked me if I wanted garlic as a snack...I think she was just being sarcastic but I am not 100% sure.

I actually thought it was the opposite as you get older and that is why all roads leads to the Cracker Barrel.

I need spice in my food as there is nothing like sweating it out.   I never thought I was a dark coffee drinker until I understood my pallet.

Most people think that dark roasts are harsh but thats not true unless you burn it.  With the right water temperature they can actually be naturally sweet with the caramelization of the beans.  I hate light roasts, way to mild. The Italians know that dark roasts are where its at and the beans last a lot longer.

Let me know how you like these beans. I rarely have more than one cup a day because im caffeine sensitive but I feel like having another just because its like crack.

I drink this it is by far the best coffee I have ever had.

death wish coffee. I typically have between 14-22 cups a day and go through about 8 lbs of the stuff a month. Shipped to the house on a regular schedule. I t is fantastic. Fun fact lightly roasted coffee actually has more caffeine as the roasting process Carmelizes stuff and breaks down the caffeine molecule. I roasted white coffee has a nutty almost almond like flavor that will get you juiced up right quick. Death wish is the next best thing roasted just the right amount for taste and jolt

Took the rascal to work today, but I do so a few times a week lately. When I arrived he spread out in the funniest seating position and gave me this pathetic look, I had to take a photo.
