Back from out of town and got around to putting it in the car. Maybe I'll drive it sometime this week, but I'm pretty happy with the shifts and location of the shift knob too. Glad I rebent it, and looking forward to the change

If you rebend the shifter, is it on par with the MonkeyWrench shifter?

IMO it's better in terms of feel.

@haloruler64

So, you're reselling them with your customized rebend?

I take the left one off for the clutch.

I never rebent one, nor do I own one. I did play with one though.

Haha. I'm a socal boy lost in norcal! I used to always wear flip flops in my s2000, and although I'm not driving the spyder in those pics, I still drive her in flip flops sometimes! But not usually. And not any flip flop that flips or flops obstructively of course.
In other news, I actually really like the shifting action, effort and feel of the SK shifter. It's a bit of a longer throw than I expected, but the action and duration of each shift was a pleasant surprise. Big fan of the rebend too.

Well, well. Over on SC Superklasse is looking for those interested in their new improved  "Short Shifter version 2 and with a TRD hybrid".

I would hope that now they actually test the unit before shipping it out. It wasn't nice to find out that the MR2 folks were the ginny pigs.

I suggest measuring the diameter of the big pivot sphere. I received another short shifter and the spherical pivot was 0.5mm narrower in diameter than the stock unit. This caused it to slop around the cup and shift like a piece of junk. I pulled it and shortened the stock shifter 1".

And there should be a trade-in option 😛

Yes, there should be a trade-in option. My shifter from Superklasse is still in the box. I finally found two TRD shifters for my cars (Thanks Marsrock!) but I do have my eyes on another Spyder! No Spyder Farm yet but I just got started!
