Yeah, I spent quite a few sleepless nights deciding!  I love the beautiful condition of the car, the noises, and the feel.  But 190hp can’t compare to my 2GR swap with 270hp - so in short, it was disappointing.  No fault of the car.   My second spyder is an SMT that makes my wife happy - it’s so easy to drive, plus I enjoy that one in traffic and for cycling trips.   I decided I was not willing to give up either one for the K20 swap.

Now THAT would make a fun spyder, with the low weight and some big horsepower.  I’ve never owned a turbo so I’m leary of AF ratio gauges, blow off valves, more tuning, water injection, inter coolers, and gobs of plumbing.  I think I’m spoiled by cubic inches, it’s so simple and troublefree.  If I did own this swap, turbo would definitely be in the plans.  More powaaah!   And the only thing I miss with the big cubic inches is the sound - nothing sounds so nice as a high revving engine.

David asked me to post an update for him.   David’s personal email is in post #1 above.

“I have dropped the asking price on my beautiful K20 swap.  I will keep dropping my price until it sells.   Watch for updates!    Today’s asking price is $12,000.  Don’t snooze!  😉   “

@hello

The Acura transmission has an electric reverse lock-out that works perfectly.  Also, I have found that third gear is fine as long as you spend some time shimming all of the clearances out of the Innovative shifter adapter.
