Well, after 5 years with my STi, I decided I wanted something a bit more fun. I didn't need as much practicality that a back seat offers since I don't take kids to school anymore. The main issue I had was figuring out what, exactly, to get. Ultimately, I decided on a new 2025 GR Supra 3.0 Premium.
I am simply stunned by how fast this thing is. So far, I've only tinted the windows. And Gary Dean is going to be coating the car next week. But I have a few more mods planned. It is still a bit annoying that there is no Android Auto in the car, but I'm going to fix that soon as well.
I'm not on here much these days. But I figured I'd share the news with the few others that still frequent this place from time to time.
haha. I know, right?! I didn't realize that was sorta my thing and then it just happened that way. The Supra (mostly BMW M4) is just more exciting than the STi was. And it's half the price of a Nissan GT-R. While I know the Supra is a LOT of BMW in it, it still has some Toyota design and styling and really looks impressive. It's incredibly fast too. I always wanted a MK IV Supra. But those are way over priced now and it's a 30+ year old chassis. So this is the closest thing I can get.
Since the platform is really foreign to me (both geographically and familiarity), it will give me a lot to explore and learn about the car as well. I'm hoping to regain at least some of the same thrills I got after I bought the Spyder. And I think this is the car that will do it.

@mrsponz I agree! The C8 is one of the most beautiful cars to come from the United States. Sometimes I think about getting one and then I realize the "Want to" is just not strong enough for me to make that kind of splurge. 😀
I figured I'd post some mods to the new whip... These are in reverse chronological order because ... why not?
Injen EVO2300 Intake, Injen metal Charge Pipe, and Blitz STB.
Bimmertech MMI Pro so I can haz Android Auto in the car (Something it should have come with but didn't)
Smoked Sequential Side Mirror Indicators
Carbon Fiber Wind Deflectors to prevent buffeting when the windows are down.
And the first mod (aside from getting the windows tinted) was the "Chopped" valve stem caps from the Mighty Car Mods store!
I have more stuff planned. Mostly cosmetic though since I need to work on lift situation a bit to do more exhaust-related stuff. I finally have the same type of excitement I had with the MR-S. That's something that was missing with both the FR-S and STi.
Here are some before and after pics of the Verus full Cap Kit.
These were kinda pricey for what they do. But they are all very high quality and actual metal. They installed easy and add some bling to the engine bay.
