Replace Factory Foglights

Hello. I am trying to replace my foglights, hopefully without removing the bumper. I cannot figure out how to release the foglights from the bumper. I have unplugged the electrical connector. Any ideas?

Yeah.

Take the bumper off.  It's not hard.  The lights have an angled knob on one side that snaps into place when you push the light fixture in from the front.

It can be done without taking the bumper off, but I wouldn't recommend it.

@pwnzor Thanks! I have taken the bumper off once but I was hoping to dodge doing it again. I sure cannot seem to get them loose with the bumper on. Much appreciated!

We're in the same boat now.  On my recent road trip to California, BOTH my fog light lenses got cracked by flying debris, and now one of the bulbs went out.  Frustrating, because I literally just replaced them about 2 months ago, and it was almost $100 for the two bulbs.  I think I'm going to custom fab some kind of rock grilles for those lights, because in 5 years I have had to replace them twice... and now a third time.

I recall removing mine and posting pictures on SC under a June 20, 2016 SC posting

What I don't see in those pictures is how you get your hands inside the bumper...?

If I get time, mine's coming off this weekend and I'm going to replace both lights - again - and my horn with something less beep-beepy and more honk-honky.

@pwnzor This is a much more manly horn.

Not direct bolt - on (because of the electrical connector) but easy. I thought I just had one horn, replaced it with the higher frequency one of this pair and it sounds much better. Just used the factory relay.

To get to the bumper you remove lower cover screws and pull the cover back and down to reach in. Maybe use a bungee cord. The photos were taken with the bumper off because I didn't have the pictures to go by. ;+)

I want to get the old Caddy 4-note horn set up (eBay). Then when I beep my horn you shit your pants. Perfect.
