Thats good to hear.  I just realized that you are 2ZZ.

The Magnaflow downpipe although a replacement for the stock is too small of a diameter and probably restrictive to keep it 49 state emission compliant  to get  the most form the 2ZZ. It will actually be more restrictive than a stock exhaust system made for a 2ZZ application.

There is a good amount of horsepower left off the table and if I would have known I would have recommended going with the PPE downpipe or the Che with a modification to get it to fit like mine.

I have a 1ZZ motor.

Sorry About that. I mistakenly thought that because you bought a 2zz pulley and now I figured out you adopted a 2zz water pump to fit a 1ZZ engine.

I suppose you are good to go with the Magnaflow downpipe.

OK, it's done.  Runs smooth, voltage is what it should be. Water temp is steady at 182-185.  Seems to have a slightly wider power band, and revs a little quicker.

Oh, and there's this:

Good to hear. Generally on other cars the cooling will come into question when the cooling capacity is saturated.  Fortunately  the pump was designed for a front engine car with less coolant capacity where we have more so it’s possible you will not see the effects of coolant overheating issues on the street.

I'm monitoring everything using OBDLink MX+ and Torque Pro for Android.

If anything goes awry, I'll know pretty quickly.

I have a digital voltage gauge that I watch constantly.  I get 14.1 or 14.2 upon startup, and it drops down to 13.4 to 13.7 after it's completely warmed up.

I'll be watching for that after this installation gets done.

After several thousand kms the verdict is that mine stays on 14.1-14.2 for quite a long time and goes down to 13.8 - 13.9 after half an hour or so of driving.

Keeps up nicely with the uprated headlight bulbs and sofar has only left me with a flat battery ónce: Had failed to check if Malaga gf had shut the door properly which she had not*. Two days later the micro-battery was flat.

* my bad ofcourse as I knów I have Dev´s spacers a bit tight.

So my digital voltmeter which is wired into the cig lighter circuit now shows me 12.3 to 12.7 at idle <sometimes>, while my OBD2 display shows me 13.1

As soon as I give it ANY gas at all, both jump up to 13.8 to 14.2, somewhere in that range.  Hard to watch them both at exactly the same time, as my OBD2 readout is dash height, and the digi meter is down on the floor at the bottom of the center stack.

Battery is well charged all the time, and no starting issues even in the freezing cold.

I'll report back if anything changes
