Is there a "message waiting" light somewhere?

You don't have to hit account, just the "My Profile" button.
But I did have to look for it when you asked, as I didn't know either.

It's not convenient, but it is there.

Yeah. I don't know if there's an easy way to direct link to it or not. If you have new messages, you will get a notice though with a direct link. so there's that. 🙂
